Daily fluctuations in carbon dioxide levels are caused by everyday household activities and negatively affect the pH of the water in the aquarium. The higher the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air taken in by the skimmer, the greater the acidification of the water, resulting in a drop in pH, destabilization of KH, and consequently, significantly slowed calcification of corals. Prolonged fluctuations result in a significant deterioration of coral health and sometimes even their death. When the lights in the aquarium are on, the process of photosynthesis helps stabilize the aquarium's pH. However, at night, when the demand for oxygen increases, the pH also drops. This is particularly true in autumn and winter when we ventilate rooms less frequently. This is the time to use the AF Air Scrubber, which will help stabilize the key parameters of the aquarium.

The AF Air Scrubber and the absorbing medium help prevent harmful fluctuations in parameters caused by low water pH. The AF Air Scrubber is made entirely of the highest quality white and transparent acrylic. The modern design guarantees not only a great appearance but also ease of use either outside or inside the cabinet. Functionality and ergonomics were key to this project. Therefore, the AF Air Scrubber is easy to install and service while ensuring proper airflow through the medium.

According to our tests, the AF Air Scrubber raises the pH by about 0.2-0.4 and allows for stabilization in the range of 8.0-8.4. We recommend using the AF Air Scrubber in combination with the AF -CO2 Media cartridge. This combination guarantees the most effective removal of CO2 from the air drawn in by the skimmer.

Key features
- Lowers CO2 levels, thereby raising pH
- Stabilizes pH levels day and night
- Prevents sudden dKH spikes
- Large capacity – 2.3 liters
- Innovative technology improving the lifespan and efficiency of the medium
- Compatible with skimmers with a 10 mm ⅜” tube
- Easy to use
- Highest quality materials

Dimensions
- Height: 35.5 cm + 3.5 cm (connections)
- Width: 15.5 cm

The CO2 absorbing cartridge is not included in the set. The water's pH changes in a daily rhythm, so measurements should always be taken at the same time. Used filter medium left too long in the reactor may return to its original color, but it will not effectively absorb CO2. During medium replacement, gloves should be worn and the room should be well-ventilated. The AF Air Scrubber Media can be placed in the filter in combination with Carbon.
