It perfectly reflects the characteristics of a humid environment and adapts excellently to the user's needs. The substrate - coconut chips - absorbs and retains moisture well, thus maintaining balance within the enclosure. It can be used in a wide range of applications, including: humid terrariums, dry terrariums, paludariums, and compositions like forest in a jar.
Thicker pieces of coconut are recommended for medium and large terrarium animals as they facilitate movement.
The substrate does not pose a threat in the case of accidental ingestion by reptiles or amphibians.
