CO2 diffusers should provide the best gas solubility, should not be brittle, meaning easy to destroy (like glass ones), and should be "not ugly" (like plastic ones). It would also be good if they were not too expensive and came in various sizes to choose the right one for the aquarium. Which diffuser meets all these criteria?
In the offers, we find many models that meet one, maybe at most two of the aforementioned features. For example: glass with ceramic - dissolves well (but not always) and definitely looks nice, but is very brittle and expensive. Another one: plastic - usually dissolves well and cannot be destroyed - but they are ugly and also expensive. Which one to choose in this situation?
The only answer to these questions and the only diffuser on the market that meets all the expectations of an aquarist is the Neo Diffuser. Why? More about that below. It is worth reading because this is not just another silly advertisement.
Ceramic fiber sinter (not to be confused with ceramic sinter):
The ceramic mass is fired, creating small channels - this is how standard ceramic sinter is made. What is ceramic fiber sinter?
The ceramic mass is subjected to a high electromagnetic impulse, then fibers are formed. They are then sintered, later shaped into a sinter under high pressure, and fired again.
Thanks to this treatment, micro pores of much smaller diameter and a much greater quantity are created compared to ordinary sinter. Fiber sinter is not only much denser but also harder and more durable than ordinary sinter. It does not "wear out" over time and does not crack.

A natural consequence of the innovative fiber sinter is the possibility of using a smaller diffuser in a given aquarium.
So far, it has been assumed that, for example, a diffuser with a diameter of 2cm is intended for an aquarium of 150 - 200l, while the Neo Diffuser with a diameter of 1.7cm can serve an aquarium up to 250l.
Yes, the Neo diffuser is nice. But it shouldn't be the diffusers, but the plants that should be the decoration of the aquarium. Therefore, smaller sizes of the diffuser positively affect the aesthetics of the aquarium.
Acrylic body:
Just as beautiful as glass. 100% transparent and aesthetic, but unlike glass, it is unbreakable. Acrylic ensures excellent transparency, making the diffuser practically invisible in the tank and allowing the use of the bubble counter mounted inside.
Bent diffuser tube - or elbow on the glass edge:
This has never been done before! With the help of thermal processing (i.e. fire from a lighter), you can bend the diffuser tube into an elbow. Thus, you will determine the thickness of the glass and the positioning of the elbow relative to the length of the tube. You've never done this before, right? No problem, in the set you have two additional tubes to practice.
Included in the set:
Along with the diffuser, you will receive two large suction cups with a hole for the diffuser tube and a set for practicing bending the tube.
Technical data and purpose:
- for aquarium: from 250l to 500l
- sinter diameter: 25mm
- total height: 40cm (you can trim or bend the diffuser tube wherever you want)
- for hose: standard 6mm (4/6)
Usage:
1. Soak in water for 10 minutes before the first use.
2. Insert the protective brush into the tube, heat the tube with fire from a lighter until the tube bends. Shape the elbow according to your needs.
3. If after some time the diffuser loses efficiency - soak the diffuser in bleach for 5 minutes, and it will be like new.
