Blade shape "CC":
Provides excellent quick and precise claw cutting. The sharp edge prevents splitting of the claw.
Here are some simple rules for hassle-free claw trimming:
1. Teach claw trimming from a young age
2. Always reward with a treat after trimming - it's important that one chosen type of treat (e.g., pâté) is reserved only as a reward after claw trimming. Do not give this treat (pâté) without occasion! For "standard" spoiling of your pet, choose another (e.g., sausage)
3. If the cat or dog starts to struggle a lot, let them go. Reward them with fewer treats for their effort. Try again shortly after. Each time - even if you manage to trim just one claw, reward them.
4. You can try wrapping the cat/dog in a towel or blanket during claw trimming
5. You can hold the skin on the back of your pet's neck. This will trigger their "mom is holding me - do nothing" program
6. Ask someone for help. Let one person hold the pet while the other trims. You can do it alone too. Sit the pet on your lap, facing away from you.
7. Distract them. Let them sniff the treat that you will give them later. After each claw, hold the treat under their nose.
Remember that no online guide or self-promotion from a seller can replace a veterinarian! If your cat or dog has exceptional problems with claw trimming, it may indicate that something is wrong. (e.g., a broken toe, torn claw) Always consult a specialist if you notice unusual behavior in your pet!
