Aquael Versamax 400 PRO - cascade filter

FZN PRO is another idea for a cascade filter in the Aquael portfolio. It will work perfectly in various types of tanks, both in nano aquariums or shrimp tanks, as well as in larger ones, even 75 liters. A great choice for small marine tanks, where the cascading water flow creates a natural wave, imitating the movement of the sea.


We have taken care to include a range of conveniences that will make using the FZN PRO filter a pure pleasure. Do you dislike waiting for the filter to start up at full power? With the FZN PRO, you won’t have this problem. Thanks to the placement of the motor underwater, the filter starts working immediately upon connection, without the need for prior filling. Are you worried that if the power is cut off, your filter won’t restart when the electricity is back on? The FZN PRO will start working right away and will immediately clean the water in your tank. Thanks to the safe placement of the motor underwater, even longer power outages won’t be a surprise for this filter.

As quiet as a whisper, the designers at Aquael have ensured that the FZN PRO filter operates as quietly as possible. The sound generated by the largest filter in the family is only 32 dB – equivalent to a quiet whisper. The thoughtful design provides maximum dampening of all noises.
This happens because:
- The filter outlet is flush with the surface, causing the flowing water to produce a pleasant sound to the ear. Forget about gurgling or loud water spilling.
- The motor is placed underwater. This provides natural sound insulation due to the sound-dampening effect of the water.
- All contact points between the housing and the glass are secured with rubber. This reduces vibrations from the operating device and eliminates any potential knocking or rattling of the filter housing.
- Linear openings have been added on the top of the housing. This reduces the resonant tube effect within the device and improves gas exchange.
