SunSun HW-304B - external filter with UV for up to 600l

The HW series filters were created with the aim of maximizing capacity, ensuring the best filtration while maintaining simplicity of operation and filter performance, guaranteeing trouble-free operation. The filter is equipped with a UV-C lamp responsible for water sterilization.

The construction uses top-quality materials. The body, cover, and other plastic components are made from ABS plastic, which is an amorphous material with a high density. It is characterized by high resistance to cracking and mechanical damage. The gaskets are made from rubber with the appropriate amount of connections in the span>polyolefin chains, which ensure adequate flexibility and durability. The materials and original mold forms guarantee the reliability of the filter for which it was designed. Manufacturers - "imitators" of filters with the same structure, which are numerous on the market, can envy the execution and quality of the product from the SunSun brand.

The effectiveness of the seal is complemented by a double locking system. This system relies on two pairs of clamps with different closing mechanisms. One pair provides pressure based on leverage, ensuring a tight seal. This pair of clamps also facilitates the opening of the filter cover. The second pair of clamps ensures the durability of the closure, even when lifting a full filter by the cover. These clamps are locked using a snap method.

The filter has an "aqua-stop" system that blocks water flow from the filter to the hoses. This valve allows for the disconnection of hoses from the filter cover. It is essential for all maintenance work.

The pump operates silently and is of high quality. It is based on a ceramic rotor, enabling operation in seawater. It is enclosed in a sealed and large filter cover, which additionally dampens the pump's operation, while rubber feet absorb all vibrations.

The water outlet can also be modified due to a large number of pipes and fittings. It is done through a rain bar, which perfectly aerates the water, effectively replacing popular aerators.

Biological filtration is provided by bio-ceramics of varying porosity and bioballs. The ceramics and bioballs serve as a habitat for bacteria that lower the concentration of NH3, NH4, and NO2 in the aquarium while also impacting the health of fish and providing a natural nutrient source for plants.

Chemical filtration is ensured by activated carbon, which effectively binds metals and their compounds, humic substances, pesticides, and metabolic products. It is a clarifying insert that reduces unpleasant odors in the water. It improves water quality, including biological filtration.

Mechanical filtration is provided by a sponge of appropriate gradation. It removes all impurities from the water, clarifying it of dust, plant remnants, and small floating substrate parts.

The filter media baskets can accommodate any filter insert depending on the needs of the tank.

Water sterilization is ensured by a powerful UV-C lamp. It has a wide spectrum of action that helps maintain water in excellent quality. It effectively kills all algae spores and bacteria responsible for the formation of cyanobacteria or diseases. The lamp has a switch that allows adjusting the degree of water sterilization according to the tank's needs. Regular use of the lamp effectively protects the tank from unpleasant surprises. The lamp's housing has a small viewport that informs the user about the operation of the lamp.
