About the HBL filter:
HBL bucket filters are designed for optimal filtration through a large volume. At the same time, the filter's design allows it to be placed outside the tank, on the edge of the glass, saving space in the aquarium, in the cabinet, or under the aquarium. Such features of the filter significantly exceed those of internal, cascade, and standard external filters. They provide better filtration than internal and cascade filters and are easier to handle and take up less space than standard external filters.
5 baskets and filtration in the HBL filter:
The filter has five baskets for granular or sponge filter media. Each basket is separated by a special micro-fleece that supports biological and mechanical filtration. The baskets greatly facilitate filter maintenance, cartridge replacement, and regeneration.
The media baskets provide sufficient space for any filter media, such as activated carbon, NEO MEDIA, or Organ-Ex polymers. Chemical and polymer cartridges should be selected according to the needs of the aquarium.
Water inlet:
The water inlet to the filter is done via a length-adjustable pipe, using three segments. This way, the filter sucks up impurities lying on the bottom, which are a common cause of substrate muddiness and deterioration of water quality. The inlet has a special mesh to prevent the suction of fish, shrimp, etc. You can find the lengths of the pipes in the technical data at the end of the description.
Water outlet:
The water outlet has a telescopic design to easily adjust the height of the outlet to the water level of the aquarium. The outlet features two interchangeable tips. The flattened outlet tip (similar to loc-line) creates the appropriate water movement and has a ball joint that allows directing the stream in any direction. The rain bar outlet is useful for aerating the water and creating a gentle water movement, which is unnecessary in small aquariums.
Flow regulation:
The filter features a smooth stepless, dual flow regulation, and thus performance. The regulation allows the filter to be adapted to aquariums from 30 to 115 liters in capacity. The valves are located at the filter's inlet and outlet.
The outlet and inlet pipes can be directed in any direction on a horizontal plane at an angle of 360 degrees. This allows for the placement of the outlet and inlet in any location within the aquarium.
Filter installation:
The filter is placed on the edge of the tank using special brackets. These brackets have an adjustment feature that allows them to be adapted to glass thicknesses ranging from 4mm to 20mm. A special base keeps the filter vertical. Made of flexible and soft rubber, it effectively dampens vibrations generated by the rotor and water flow, making the filter silent.

The rotor, being the heart of the device, is resistant to high resistance from the pumped water, and moreover, it has an axis made of sintered stainless steel with titanium, allowing the pump to operate in seawater.
