About the Smart Filter:
The SF bucket filters were designed for the best filtration through a large volume. At the same time, the design of the filter allows it to be placed outside the tank, on the edge of the glass, thus saving space in the aquarium, in the cabinet, or under the aquarium. Such features of the filter greatly surpass internal, cascade, and standard external filters. They provide better filtration than internal and cascade filters and are easier to maintain and take up less space than standard external filters.
Filtration in the SF filter:
The filter has two baskets for loose filter media and sponges of different porosities and non-woven fabric. The baskets significantly facilitate filter maintenance, replacement of inserts, and their regeneration.
Baskets for media ensure the appropriate amount of space for any filter insert, such as activated carbon, NEO MEDIA, or Organ-Ex polymers. Chemical and polymer inserts should be selected according to the needs of the aquarium.
Water inlet and skimmer:
The water inlet to the filter occurs through a tube with adjustable length, using three segments. This way, the filter sucks in debris lying on the bottom, which is a common cause of substrate clogging and deterioration of water quality. The inlet has a special mesh to prevent fish, shrimp, etc., from being sucked in. Additionally, the inlet occurs via a skimmer, which is the water intake at the surface. This cleans the water surface of fats and impurities. The intensity of this inlet is adjustable. You can find the lengths of the tubes in the technical data at the end of the description.
Water outlet:
The outlet has two interchangeable tips. The flattened outlet tip (similar to loc-line) creates the appropriate water movement and has a ball joint that allows directing the stream in any direction. Additionally, it is equipped with an aeration hose that delivers a substantial amount of oxygen for fish. The outlet rain bar is useful for aerating the water and creating a moderate water flow, which is unnecessary in small aquariums.
Flow regulation:
The filter has a smooth, stepless, dual flow regulation, thus efficiency. The regulation allows adapting the filter for aquariums from 30 to 115 liters in capacity. The valves are located at the inlet and outlet of the filter.
The outlet and inlet tubes can be directed in any direction on a horizontal plane at an angle of 360 degrees. This allows placing the outlet and inlet in any location in the aquarium.
Filter installation:
The filter is mounted on the edge of the tank using special brackets. These brackets allow them to be adjusted to the thickness of the glass ranging from 4mm to 20mm. A special foot keeps the filter upright. Made of flexible and soft rubber, it perfectly dampens vibrations caused by the rotor's operation and water flow, making the filter silent.
