pH water tests prove that popular ceramic and ceramic-like inserts on the market have alkaline values, meaning they change the pH value, significantly hardening the water. (SIPORAX 9~10, Substrate PRO 8~9).
NEO MEDIA PURE is a truly neutral filtering material and has a minimal impact on pH. The NEO MEDIA PURE insert does not raise the pH of slightly acidic aquariums and does not lower the pH of slightly alkaline aquariums. It is suitable for all types of aquariums, such as: planted, shrimp tanks, Malawi, Tanganyika, marine with SPS corals.

The NEO MEDIA Pure insert does not change the pH value, maintaining it at a level of 6~7. Additionally, NEO MEDIA inserts are available in three variants: PURE, SOFT, and HARD, which respectively: do not change pH, soften water, and harden water.

Diverse porosity:
The production process, along with the fiber structure, has allowed for the creation of an insert that has different pore sizes, allowing for the settling and rapid development of various types of bacteria responsible for the conversion of harmful substances. The appropriate ecosystem developed inside the insert is a decisive factor in biological filtration.
