NEO MEDIA SOFT is a filtering material that lowers the pH value. It is suitable for all aquariums where the water pH is too high, such as: planted tanks, shrimp tanks, Malawi, Tanganyika, marine tanks with SPS corals. The NEO MEDIA SOFT insert changes pH values by lowering them and maintaining a stable level at 6~7. Additionally, the NEO MEDIA inserts are available in three variants: PURE, SOFT, and HARD, which respectively: do not change pH, soften water, harden water.

Diverse porosity:
The production process along with the fiber structure has allowed the creation of an insert that has various pore sizes, allowing for the settlement and rapid growth of different types of bacteria responsible for the transformation of harmful substances. The appropriate ecosystem developed inside the insert is a decisive factor for biological filtration.
Diverse porosity is not available in ceramic inserts created through firing, where the pores in such inserts always have the same size.
