NEO MEDIA PURE is a truly neutral filtering material and has a minimal impact on pH. The insert NEO MEDIA PURE does not raise the pH of a slightly acidic aquarium and does not lower the pH of a slightly alkaline aquarium. It is suitable for all aquariums, such as: planted, shrimp, Malawi, Tanganyika, and marine with SPS corals.

The insert NEO MEDIA Pure does not change the pH, maintaining it at a level of 6~7. Additionally, the NEO MEDIA inserts are available in three varieties: PURE, SOFT, and HARD, which respectively: do not change pH, soften water, harden water. 


The production process along with the fiber structure has allowed the creation of an insert that possesses various pore sizes, enabling the settlement and rapid growth of different types of bacteria responsible for the transformation of harmful substances. The appropriate ecosystem developed inside the insert is a decisive factor for biological filtration.
Diverse porosity is not available in ceramic inserts created by firing, where the pores in such inserts always have the same size.
