NEO MEDIA PURE is a truly neutral filtering material and has little impact on pH. The insert NEO MEDIA PURE does not raise the pH of slightly acidic aquariums and does not lower the pH of slightly alkaline aquariums. It is suitable for all types of aquariums, such as: planted, shrimp tanks, Malawi, Tanganyika, marine with SPS corals.

The insert NEO MEDIA Pure does not change the pH, keeping it at a level of 6~7. Additionally, the inserts NEO MEDIA come in three variants: PURE, SOFT, and HARD, which respectively: do not change pH, soften water, and harden water.


The production process, along with the fiber structure, has allowed for the creation of an insert that has varying pore sizes, enabling the settling and rapid growth of different types of bacteria responsible for the transformation of harmful substances. An appropriate ecosystem developed inside the insert is a decisive factor responsible for biological filtration.
Diverse porosity is not available in ceramic inserts created through firing, where the pores in such inserts always have the same size.
