What can the Smart ATO Lifter be used for?
- topping up water from a reserve tank to the main tank or sump
- automatic filling of tanks
Don't worry anymore about the topping up getting stuck and overflowing your tank. From now on, this clever gadget will keep an eye on it. Just mount the optical sensor on any aquarium / sump / tank / bucket / jug, and the water will fill it up to the eye level. No tools are required for installation. Additionally, there is no unreliable float valve (WC) that could fail.
Optical sensor and installation method:
This is a much better solution than a regular float! But that's not all. The sensor from the AutoAqua kit has a dual "eye," which means it has double control over the situation. The sensor is installed quickly and easily using a strong magnet. Therefore, you can install the eye anywhere. Maximum glass thickness is 12.7mm
Protection against self-induced (gravitational) water overflow:
Until now, you had to shorten the water outlet hose so that it was above the water surface level from the topping up system. Why? Because the water would then flow out by itself - gravitationally.
The Smart ATO Nano has eliminated this problem with the end of the system. It does not allow for dripping / gravitational overflow of water. It will only allow water to flow during pumping by the included pump.
However, this end piece has some limitations. It can "withstand" a maximum pressure of 30cm of water in the hose. So it cannot be placed lower than 30cm from the edge of the glass. Don't worry... no one has such high SUMPs. In an aquarium, we also have water close to the edge of the glass, not 30cm lower. So the little end piece will be an ideal solution for 99.9999% of cases.
Prefilter:
This is a rarely seen element in topping up systems. Its purpose is obvious - it protects the pump and the entire system from dirt entering.
Comfortable design of the topping up system:
Comfortable, because like a "cascade" - it's a great convenience. Fewer cables, less installation, quick assembly, easy disassembly, etc. The "heart and brain" of the device are located in a housing that hangs on the edge of the glass like a typical cascade filter.
Additionally, the excess cable between the eye and the computer can be hidden inside the cascade housing. The fewer cables, the more aesthetic it looks.
QST (Quick Security Technology) safety program:
The intelligent topping up system will not allow the tank to overflow, even in the event of a system failure. Why? If the first filling of the tank took 10 seconds, then no subsequent filling can exceed 60 seconds. This means it allows a maximum of 6 times more than the first time. In this way, we eliminate the possibility of overflowing the aquarium in case of sensor failure or dirt, eliminate computer errors, and protect the pump from running dry in case the reserve is emptied.
Other protections: With the help of colored LED light signals, the computer will inform you of any possible problems. For example: incorrectly connected pump, conflicting readings from the eye - possible dirt on the eye, no filling for 72 hours, and other cases dependent and independent of the Smart ATO Lifter.
