The hood features a patented SMART OPEN opening system. It eliminates the need for hinges and supports, allowing convenient maintenance tasks inside the tank. The hood also has special grooves at the back that allow for easy cutting of holes for the installation of any type of canister filters (a hood with such cutouts does not void the manufacturer's warranty). It is equipped with an exceptionally large flap that allows for easy feeding of the fish.
