Description
The water replacement process is tedious, often uncomfortable, and most importantly, frequent. Creating many unpleasant situations, it is one of the most disliked maintenance tasks that every aquarist faces. The process of sediment removal shares a similar bad reputation. The product from the manufacturer SunSun HXS-01 solves all these problems and has a number of advantages and conveniences to make the entire water replacement and sediment removal process quick and pleasant.
To meet these requirements, the manufacturer has implemented the following solutions:
The sediment remover features a quick switching system for water circulation between open and external. This allows the sediment remover to work as a water replacement pump while simultaneously removing sediment from the bottom or as a sediment remover that leaves the cleaned water in the tank.
In the closed water circulation system, an appropriate micro-mesh made of plastic is used for filtration, which retains all even the smallest impurities, returning the cleaned water to the tank. The mesh can be easily removed and rinsed if necessary.
The design of the sediment remover allows it to be used in a wide range of aquarium depths (from 20 to 76 cm), thus meeting the requirements of most tanks.
The sediment remover pump is powered by the electrical network with a long cable (280 cm). This solution does not create any limitations and, moreover, does not require the use of expensive batteries that deplete quickly.
The large cup of the sediment remover ensures proper substrate circulation and features a special crown that facilitates water intake.
The sediment remover can work as a water replacement pump. The open water circulation system allows for draining water from the tank along with sediment removal and provides the possibility of refilling the tank.
The heart of the device is a small pump with significant efficiency and low power consumption. The rotor shaft made of a stainless steel and titanium alloy makes the sediment remover suitable for use in saltwater.
