Description
Shōka bacteria is a bacterial product containing strains obtained directly from the natural environment. Autotrophic forms of bacteria quickly colonize filtration substrates and begin to multiply in the aquarium substrate. They effectively accelerate the stabilization of nitrogen cycle parameters by reducing ammonia NH4 and oxidizing it to harmless nitrite NO2. They ensure biological balance in the aquarium. One gram contains as many as 5 billion active bacteria.
Dosing:
In newly established aquariums: For every 50 liters of aquarium capacity, sprinkle 1g (1 level small scoop) on damp filter media. Wait an hour, then turn on the filter. As an addition to the substrate: sprinkle 2g (1 level large scoop) on the laid layer of Ganban power base for every 50 liters of aquarium capacity, then cover with a layer of Jiban Soil.
After cleaning the filter / Water change: For every 100 liters of aquarium capacity, sprinkle 1g (1 level small scoop) on biological filter media.
In case of Cyanobacteria occurrence: A solution should be prepared – for every 50ml of aquarium water, add 1g (1 level small scoop), mix thoroughly, and draw into a syringe. Cyanobacteria should be sucked out with a tube, and the solution should be injected into the areas where cyanobacteria occur. When performing this procedure, the filter should be turned off for about 10 minutes.
