Description
What is the difference between ACO Heavy Series and regular ACO from other manufacturers?
The Heavy Series has the same proven and simple engine design. However, slightly different materials have been used to produce the individual, yet crucial components.
Piston is made from thermoplastic materials, constantly adapting its volume to the shapes of the engine where, at high temperatures, distortions can occur of only 0.1mm. Despite these slight changes in metal volume under the influence of temperature, the piston tightly fills the cylinder, maintaining the highest work efficiency.
Cylinder and moving elements are made from high-strength aluminum alloy Zl102. The use of this more expensive material, compared to regular ACO materials, has noticeably affected the noise of operation, efficiency, and above all, the durability of the device.
Lubrication of the engine:
In the Heavy Series, ACO has eliminated lubrication of the engine with oils, lubricants, etc. The use of artificial lubrication is not effective over a longer period of time, as it can easily wear out. Instead, the walls of the cylinder and the piston are highly polished. This finishing realistically, and not artificially, reduces friction, while also affecting operating temperature and power consumption.
What hoses does the pump support?
The pump comes with a connecting hose for the splitter. This component supports standard hoses with sizes of 4/6mm. For the Heavy Series aerator, U.S.Aqua Airline hoses are recommended.
