Why acrylic?
The choice of acrylic for the container is well-founded. First and foremost, the Box is resistant to mechanical damage and is much lighter. Additionally, it is much more transparent. Only with this material was it possible to create a terrarium with the following features:

Features, advantages, and construction details:
Let's start from the top of the terrarium.

- lid with steel mesh secured with magnets:
Its main advantage is the micro steel mesh. It allows for good gas exchange and does not pose a problem when using a bulb or heating halogen.
The lid can be removed. Magnets are responsible for its proper closure, preventing accidental opening.

- body with 0.9mm holes
All walls are made of acrylic. There are holes for proper ventilation in the side and back walls. The diameter of the holes is 0.9mm.

- removable substrate container
You can easily remove the bottom base of the terrarium in its entirety. Inside, it can hold a considerable amount of substrate - up to 4cm thick layer. You can place any, even the finest substrate in it, but most importantly, you can water or mist it every day, as the base is completely waterproof. What does this mean? Thanks to such a base, you can grow live plants, which are a great decoration and living space for mantises and other insects, including spiders.

But how to water the plants? Do I have to remove the base every time or open the top flap? Not at all! In one of the walls, there is a hole through which you can water the plants without having to open the terrarium.
