What is the purpose of a basking island for turtles?
Reptiles, amphibians, and other ectothermic animals living in a terrarium need appropriate conditions for proper development. Some of them spend time not only underwater but also on dry land, which serves as a place for resting, basking, and exposure to UVB light. An ideal solution would be to place an island in the terrarium.
What characterizes the ZOOMED TURTLE DOCK island?
The island has a self-leveling feature, which means it naturally adjusts to the current water level. A specially designed ramp, submerged in water, allows turtles to easily access the basking area. The island is made from a material that is resistant to damage and the claws of reptiles.
Installation:
The island comes with four suction cups that enable easy installation in a terrarium or aquarium. The suction cups adhere strongly and stably to the glass.
