When placing two males in the same enclosure, bloody fights may occur.
Popular snake species that we can encounter in amateur breeding are eager to breed. Therefore, it is worth determining the sex before purchase and after any potential hatching of young.
What age must a snake be to perform the examination?
Sex determination using a probe should not be performed on snakes younger than 12 months.
Which snake species can be examined with the Repti-Zoo probe?
All species of these reptiles can be examined using the probes included in the set. The only limitation is the size of the snake being examined, which must be no smaller than 50 cm and no larger than 550 cm.
Who can perform the examination?
Any adult amateur breeder can easily perform the sex determination of a snake using Repti-Zoo probes.
